The person behind Zero Trace

Meet Matthew Carr

Founder & Principal Consultant

Hi, I’m Matthew. I started Zero Trace Consulting because I saw how many people were being targeted by online scams and how difficult everyday technology had become. I wanted individuals and families to have someone they could turn to for patient, personal help.

I’ve spent more than 30 years helping people solve technology challenges. My background spans information technology, internet services, MRI and CT field service, and radiology imaging systems–from supporting an internet startup during the 1990s to maintaining medical imaging technology used in healthcare.

Working with systems that people rely on taught me the value of dependable support and clear communication. Listening, patience, and plain-language explanations are just as important as technical expertise.

Today, I bring that approach to scam prevention, identity protection guidance, and everyday technology support. When you work with Zero Trace, you work directly with me. My goal is to help you feel confident asking questions and comfortable using your technology. Adults of different ages and experience levels are welcome, including seniors and family caregivers.

“Technology should empower people, not intimidate them.”
